India and Uzbekistan signed a tourism cooperation action plan in New Delhi on May 16, the Indian Tourism Ministry said.
The document was signed by head of the Indian Tourism Development Department Lalit Panwar and Uzbektourism Chairman Rustam Mirzaev.
The new document envisages intensifying tourist exchanges between the two countries, establishing joint ventures in tourism, expanding information cooperation and opening tourism representative offices.
Moreover, it is planned to exchange experience in staff training, to develop infrastructure, tourism, produce souvenirs, as well as to jointly work on advertising and promoting both countries as tourist destinations.
