Another Azerbaijani processing centre launches e-commerce service

Azerbaijani processing centre TexKart, 100 per-cent ownership of Texnika Bank, plans to launch a new e-commerce service on payment for goods and services over the Internet in autumn, the Bank's Board Director Samir Huseynov told Trend.

"Today, today processing center is under certification, which is expected to be completed after 30-40 days," Huseynov said.

E-commerce is an opportunity to make the sale of goods and services online by plastic cards.

Texnika Bank has been operating on the banking market since 1993. At present, the majority shareholder of the bank is World Wines company. It owns 75 percent stake. Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Etibar Aliyev, controls 15 percent of the shares, and the U.S company Kazimir Investment Caspian Fund - 10 percent stake.

Processing center Texkart was established by Azerbaijan's Texnika Bank in 2007. At the initial stage, the center provides its services to Texnika Bank only but is expected to start providing services to other banks.
