The Georgian coast guard has freed detained tanker flying under the flag of the Marshall Islands.

"The ship's captain - Romanian citizen Rtsean Constantini paid a fine of 50,000 lari. The Poti Court imposed fine in accordance with the Georgian Code of Administrative Violations," Georgian border police told Trend.

The "MARILENA II" tanker was detained as a result of operational activities in the Batumi port for violating the navigation rules on Sept.5.

The ship received the right for free navigation.
