The National Bank of Georgia will be authorized to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and local supervision bodies to control the financial sector.
The relevant amendments are made to law "On National Bank of Georgia".
The National Bank will receive the full right for control over commercial banks, non-bank deposit institutions, microfinance institutions, insurance companies, reinsurance companies, founders of private pension funds, independent registrars of securities, brokerage companies, stock exchanges, central depositories, specialized depositaries, companies managing assets and the activities of accountable companies.
According to draft law, the National Bank will have a right to demand any information, including confidential information within its competence from indicated representatives of financial sector.
