Iran, Turkey to boost commercial ties

Chairman of the Turkish Independent Industrialists Businessmen (MÜSİAD) Omer Vardan Jihad during a meeting with Iran's consul general, Mahmoud Heydari, in Istanbul announced his country's readiness to boost economic ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Mojnews reported.

Referring to a MÜSİAD delegation's visit to Iranian city of Tabriz, Vardan Jihad voiced satisfaction with negotiations held between the two countries' traders in Tabriz and said that "removing customs obstacles, facilitating border ties and decreasing trade tariffs could result economic ties between Iran and Turkey."
"Such arrangements could also decrease goods smuggling between the two countries," Jihad added.
Heydari, for his part, voiced readiness to boost ties with Turkish traders especially MÜSİAD members.
He invited further MÜSİAD delegations to visit Iran's various cities.
