Inflation down in Kyrgyzstan

The inflation in Kyrgyzstan is going down, Kyrgyz National Bank Deputy Chairman Zakir Chokoyev at a news conference, KyrTAG reports.

"In Kyrgyzstan the inflation ratio hit 12.9 percent, a decrease by 1.1 percent compared to similar period of last year," Chokoyev said. "Inflation rate in the country is declining and is expected to be under 10 percent by the end of this year."

Chokoyev said the inflation ratio tended to declining within the year. The process was accompanied by considerable delay in increase of consumer prices in the country, he added.

"Growth rate of food and alcohol-free drinks price index fell by 10.4 percent to 17.6 percent," he added.
