Kazakhstan and Iran will consider visa facilitation between the two countries, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov told press on Monday.

He said that the Foreign Ministries of the two countries must help businessmen while crossing the border.

"Therefore, this topic will be thoroughly studied," Kazykhanov said.

He added that the parties intend to raise the level of trade turnover from $ 1.2-5 billion.

Minister said that Kazakhstan and Iran attach great importance to the development of transit-transport communication between the countries. In this regard, considerable attention is paid to the railway route. It will run through Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran to the Persian Gulf.

"We think that this may contribute to a significant increase in our cooperation, in particular trade," he said.
