Georgian government expands privatisation plan

The Georgian government has increased its privatisation plan by 20 million lari ($ 1 = 1.66 lari) for the current year.

The Ministry said that the privatisation plan for 2011, which was set at 150 million lari, increased to 170 million lari.

"This is stipulated by the successful progress of the privatisation process," the ministry said. "The central budget has already received 162 million lari."

The positive results of privatisation at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development are associated with implementation of reforms and the current economic growth.
