An Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev will visit Tajikistan in late December to attend a meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, Tajik Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zokir Vazirov told Trend on Wednesday.
"The meeting will discuss the main directions of Azerbaijan-Tajik economic cooperation, including the purchase of oil products, alumina from Azerbaijan, aluminium and cotton supply from Tajikistan," the diplomat said. He added that a business forum is expected to be held within the visit.
"This event will give impetus to the development of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan," Mr Vazirov said.
He went on to say a series of cultural events are scheduled for early 2012 with representatives of the two countries.
