Trade balance surplus exceeds $ 14 billion

The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan has announced the results of foreign trade operations with 147 countries of the world in January-October 2011, the SCC told Trend on Saturday.
The total value of the country trade amounted to $29.77 billion, an increase of 32.29 per cent against the same period of last year.
There is a surplus of foreign trade operations in the amount of $14.51 billion.
Some 7,410 legal entities and physical persons were involved in foreign trade, including 3,604 legal entities and 3,806 physical persons.
The value of export operations in first ten months of 2011 was $22.14 billion, up 27.49 per cent from the respective period of 2010.
The share of state sector in exports is $21.12 billion (95.4 percent), the share of the private sector is $0.89 billion (4 percent), and the share of physical persons is $0.14 billion (0.6 percent).
The value of import in January-October was $7.63 billion, up 48.5 per cent more from the same period in 2010.
The share of state sector in import operations amounted to 2.71 billion dollars (35.5 percent), the share of private sector is 4.56 billion (59.8 percent), and the share of physical persons is $0.36 billion (4.7 percent).
In first ten months of the year Azerbaijan exported 1,950 goods items and imported 5,970 goods items.
