Kazakhstan, Astana, Dec.13 / Trend, K. Konyrova /
Kazakhstan may join the World Trade Organization (WTO) next year, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov said in Astana addressing a meeting with Kazakhstan's diplomatic missions' heads on Tuesday.
"There is a reason to believe that next year Kazakhstan will join the WTO," Kazykhanov said.
He recalled that active negotiations on Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO are underway.
"It is expected that our partner on the Customs Union - Russia by late 2011 will receive an invitation to join the Organization. We are also in the final stage. Bilateral negotiations with the United States are completed and negotiations with the EU are close to completion," Kazykhanov said.
