Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad helped inaugurate the Neyzar Cement Factory in Qom Province located southwest of Tehrran, Econews.ir reported.
The Neyzar factory can produce 3400 tons of grey cement a day and a million tons annually. After supplying Qom Province with the 800,000 tons of cement it needs, the Neyzar factory can send the product to surrounding provinces.
Work on building the factory began in 2006/2007. The private sector invested in part of the factory which cost almost $117 million to build.
