Car sales decrease by 50 percent in Kazakhstan in November

Car sales decreased by roughly 50 percent in Kazakhstan in November 2011 compared to the same month of 2010, Kazakh Agency of Statistic reported.

"A total of 27,627 cars were registered in Kazakhstan in November 2011, or 49.1 percent less than the same period of 2010," Kazakh Agency of Statistic reported.

According to the agency, 17,818 cars sold within the country in November, 2011, were produced before 2002, compared to 35,121 cars of the same production date which were sold in November, 2010.

A total of 2,948 cars sold in this period were manufactured after 2002 and before 2005 (7,757 cars of this age were sold in November of 2010).

Some 3,641 car sold in November 2011 in Kazakhstan were produced between 2005 and 2009. As many as 8,093 cars of the same production date were sold in the country in the same period 2010.

Meanwhile, 3,199 cars, which were produced after 2009, were sold in this period compared to 3,220 cars of same production date, which were sold in the same period of 2010.

Kazakhstan has a total of 3.503 million registered cars as of December 1, 2011
