Azerbaijani insurer plans to develop traditional services

The Azerbaijani insurance company Pasa Sıgorta expects fees to grow for traditional services in 2012, its chairman of the board told Trend today.

"We will develop the traditional types of voluntary insurance," Nofel Rzayev said. "We expect growth in motor insurance, property insurance, and construction risks. We have many customers who are planning to launch their projects this year."

He said the company plans to extend cooperation with BP and other companies operating within PSA contracts for energy risk insurance in 2012.

"Two large banks expressed their desire to work with us within the bank insurance this year," Rzayev said.

He said the company will expand its cooperation with corporate clients and physical entities in 2012.

"We have three strategic lines of business development - corporate, banking and individual," he said. "Our company is a universal insurance company. It serves corporate, banking and individual clients."

Pasa Sıgorta, a member of the Pasa Holding, was registered on March 3, 2006. It provides services to corporate and individual clients and 30 types of insurance. Its authorized capital is 30 million manat.

The official exchange rate is 0.7863 AZN/USD on Feb. 3.
