The Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Turkey increased by 3.7 percent in December 2011 compared to the same month of 2010 and hit 141.2 points, the Turkish Statistics Institute's report says on Wednesday.
In December, the IPI rose by 11.4 percent compared to the previous month.
Turkey's industrial production index in mining operations increased by 6.7 percent in December 2011, in manufacturing industry - by 2.7 percent.
The highest growth of the index was observed in the energy sector. In December 2011 it grew by 10.3 percent, compared to the same period of 2010.
