The Kazakh government offers to increase or decrease the transfer from the Kazakh National Fund by 15 percent in case of growth or decline of the global crisis, Prime Minister Karim Massimov said at an expanded meeting of the faction of the People's Democratic Party "Nur Otan" (ruling party) today.
"One of the most important issues in terms of financial support for the implementation of the provisions of the statement [the President's statement to the people] is to execute the funds of the National Fund," he said. In this regard, the question arose about the new mechanisms that would allow the government to enforce all orders of the president while maintaining the fundamental principles of the National Fund's activity. The government proposed to give more flexibility to the concept of using the funds of the National Fund concerning the guaranteed transfer."
He said that in case of the deterioration in the global economy, it is proposed to increase the transfer from the National Fund by 15 percent, while improving - to reduce by 15 percent. Thus, the amount of the guaranteed transfer will hit from $6.8 billion to $9.2 billion.
