Turkish companies implement major projects in Turkmenistan

As of Jan.1, Turkmenistan has registered 1,299 major projects with a total cost of $16.1 billion, 2.6 billion euro, and 19.152 billion Japanese yen, as well as in national currency - manat with the participation of the Turkish companies, Turkmen media outlets reported on Friday.

As of Jan.1, Turkmenistan has registered 1,299 major projects with a total cost of $16.1 billion, 2.6 billion euro, and 19.152 billion Japanese yen, as well as in national currency - manat with the participation of the Turkish companies, Turkmen media outlets reported on Friday. These figures were announced during President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov's visit (Feb.28 - March 1) to Turkey.

In late 2011, the trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $3.650 billion, which is 2.8 times more than in 2007.

Turkmenistan employs more than 600 Turkish companies operating in such sectors as industry, transport, construction, trade and services, textiles and processing.
