SJS Uzbekistan Railways net profit increased by 63.4 per cent in 2011, compared to 2010 and 582.207 billion soum, according to financial statements of the company published on Friday.

Net revenues increased by 22.5 per cent last year - up 1.998 trillion soum and the cost by five per cent to 1.116 trillion soum.

Gross profit increased by 55.4 per cent up to 882.914 billion soum, including earnings from operations by 63.7 per cent to 630.426 billion soum and from financing activities by 59.1 per cent to 36.521 billion soum.

Company expenses increased by 31.1 per cent to reach 330.615 billion soum.

The assets of the carrier amounted to 4.316 trillion soum increasing by 30.5 per cent for the year, including long-term assets by 29.1 per cent to 3.257 trillion soum and current assets by 34.9 per cent to 1.059 trillion soum.

Own funds of the company stood at 2.87 trillion soum (growth of 35.4 per cent), including a capital reserve increase of 84.1 per cent - up 1.118 trillion soum, retained earnings amounted to 1.052 trillion soums (a growth of 1.9 per cent The authorised capital increased by 75.5 per cent up to 332.99 billion soum). The authorised capital was formed by the seven divisions of state assets and is wholly owned by the state.

Liabilities exceeded 1.445 trillion soum (an increase of 21.5 per cent), of which long term bank loans amounted to 1.041 trillion soum (an increase of 25.3 per cent) and accounts payable are 378.862 billion soum (increasing by 7.2 per cent).
