The Alpha Network optical component plant's grand opening will be held in the Innovation Technology Park Free Economic Zone in the Alatau settlement, the Kazakh National Technological Development Agency said today.
The new plant is a Kazakh-Korean joint venture established with Korean company LS. It is one of the world leaders producing the equipment for the fiber optic communication lines.
The company plans to organize a number of facilities industries on the territory of free economic zone "Innovation technology park". The new plant will be the first. It will produce passive optical components - splitters, patch cords, crosses, etc. Currently, similar equipment is
produced only in South Korea and Taiwan.
"National Technological Development Agency" has been established with full state participation in the authorized capital. The agency was created to assist in ensuring the coordination processes of innovation development and state support measures.
