A new Boeing-767 trainer was commissioned at the Training Center of Uzbekistan Airways, the company said on Wednesday.
The Virtual Procedure Trainer is manufactured by American corporation Aerosim, it allows to specify the necessary characteristics that simulate standard and nonstandard situations in the plane management.
According to the airline, the new trainer consists of 11 touch-screen LCD-monitors, and is based on two workstations. The screens show online the work of all aircraft. Controls autopilots and flight data input devices are installed as at a real airplane. In the event of failure of components all the necessary information to continue the workout is displayed on the monitors, which allows technicians to troubleshoot problems without interrupting the training process.
The instructor has the opportunity to set all sorts of conditions on the remote control, the parameters of the upcoming training that allow pilots to practice any actions in emergency situations, in case of failures and malfunctions of various systems of the aircraft.
The cost of the simulator is not reported.
According to the press service of the airline, apart from the A320 simulators, and now Boeing, in a short time training complex will commission Full-flight simulator Il-114-100, which allows pilots to learn piloting in conditions as close to real.
Uzbekistan Airways, the monopoly carrier in Uzbekistan, is fully owned by the state. At present, the Uzbek airline's fleet has 27 aircraft of western production, including 9 Boeing (4 767-300, five 757-200), thirteen airbuses (three A-310 and ten A-320-200), three medium-RJ-85 and two cargo airbuses A300-600F.
