Azerbaijan to sign agreements with five countries on standardisation, metrology and conformity

The State Committee on Standardisation, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan is negotiating to sign six memoranda and agreements with a number of states in the field of standardisation, metrology and conformity, the State Committee said on Thursday.

Azerbaijan will sign agreements with five countries in this regard.

According to the report, in particular the following documents will be signed:

- Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkey on cooperation in the field of technical regulation, standardisation, conformity assessment, accreditation and metrology;

- Agreement on Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Israel in the field of standardisation, conformity assessment and metrology;

- Agreement on mutual recognition of conformity certificates and conformity marks between the State Committee and Standardisation and Metrology Authority of the United Arab Emirates;

- Agreement on cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of standardisation, metrology and conformity assessment

- Memorandum of understanding between the State Metrology Service of the State Committee on Standardisation, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan and the National Institute of Metrology of Council for Scientific and Technological Research of Turkey,

- Agreement on cooperation between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Environment of Lithuania in the field of standardisation, metrology and conformity assessment.
