Russian company plans to expand reinsurance services in Azerbaijan

Russian Insurance Company Soglasie, which opened a representative office in Azerbaijan, is interested in developing international insurance cooperation between the two countries, the company said on Monday.

A representative office passed the state registration with the Azerbaijani tax authorities on June 19. The official representative is Emin Aslanov.

The representative office is tasked to establish partnerships with national insurance companies of Azerbaijan under the reinsurance of their risks in Soglasie.

"The policy pursued at present by the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan in the field of insurance, contributes to a progressive national insurance market. Given the high potential of its growth, Soglasie is interested in developing international insurance cooperation between our two countries," Elnur Suleymanov, General Director of Soglasie insurance Company, says.

Soglasie Insurance Company was established in 1993, carries more than 90 types of insurance and reinsurance services. Authorised capital is 4.3 billion rubles ($134.8 million). Regional network of the Soglasie Insurance Company has more than 700 divisions working in all federal districts of Russia.

As of the first half-year of 2012, total insurance premiums collected by the Soglasie Insurance Company, amounted to 16.4 billion rubles ($514 million), insurance payments - 8.3 billion rubles ($260 million).

The Expert RA rating agency has raised a rating of reliability of Soglasie to the level of A + + "exceptionally high level of reliability" rating outlook "stable."
