The working group will develop a draft Strategy for Kazakhstan's transition to a 'green economy' by March 1, 2013, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to a government decree.

"The working group should develop and submit the draft strategy to the Kazakh government by March 1, 2013," the decree said.

The working group responsible for draft strategy development includes Kazakh Prime Minister, leadership of some ministries and departments, as well as regional governors.

Kazakhstan and other countries were recommended to move to the 'green economy' at UN Conference on Sustainable Development "Rio + 20" in June 2012. Moreover, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev ordered the government to develop a Strategy for Kazakhstan's transition to a 'green economy'.
