Statistical aggregates are improved taking into account the main international macroeconomic standard of the national accounts system (NAS), the material said.

In this regard, the work is being carried out in the system of national accounts to improve the methodology of calculating the gross domestic product (GDP) by the fields of economics at constant prices. GDP estimates are based on a solid base of information coming from all sectors, industries and regions.

Matching of the GDP estimates by various methods is one of the most important requirements. The introduction of quarterly GDP estimates using different methods and systems for their approval is provided in this regard.

Participation of Turkmenistan in the International Comparison of GDP is important in obtaining a GDP per capita.

This is while 52.5 per cent of the GDP accounted for industry.
