Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation has new head

New Director General has been appointed to the Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia. As the Corporation told Trend, on Tuesday new head David Tvalabeishvili was introduced by executive director of the Georgian Partnership Fund Irakli Kovzanadze and Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze.

New Director General has been appointed to the Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia. As the Corporation told Trend, on Tuesday new head David Tvalabeishvili was introduced by executive director of the Georgian Partnership Fund Irakli Kovzanadze and Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze.

According to Kovzanadze, Tvalabeishvili has extensive experience in the oil and gas sphere, because he served as project manager for USAID, as well as the Tbilisi Office of the World Bank for several years.

"Appointing Tvalabeishvili will strengthen the company and its interests, its cost, will make the company more developed in terms of management, respectively, the corporation will have closer links with the Partnership Fund," Kovzanadze said, stressing that Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia will address challenges "that face the state".

Kaladze also wished success to Tvalabeishvili.

Tvalabeishvili expressed his gratitude for the appointment and said that he knows that there are many professionals in the Corporation and he hopes to improve the company's activity.

It should be noted that Zurab Janjgava has headed the Corporation since 2007.
