In 2012, 43,934 business entities were registered in Georgia, of which 97.3 per cent were commercial entities and 2.7 per cent - non-commercial. As reported by the Ministry of Justice, a reduction in the registration of business entities by 18.8 per cent is evidenced in 2012 in comparison with 2011.
In December 2012 the number of registered business entities totalled 3424, of which 95.6 per cent were commercial entities, and 4.4 per cent - non-commercial.
The registration index register in December was 0.782.
As a result, in the last month of 2012 a decline by 37 per cent in the number of business entities is witnessed in comparison with December 2011. Compared to November 2012 this index stands at 0.5 per cent.
