Some 34,000 Kazakh citizens become shareholders of People's IPO programme

As a result of the People's IPO programme, around 33,989 Kazakh citizens and 10 accumulative pension funds became KazTransOil's shareholders, director general of the company Kairgeldy Kabaldin said at a briefing in Astana today.

In 2012, the company placed 38,463,559 ordinary shares as part of the People's IPO programme on the Kazakh Stock Exchange. The subscription has been held from November to December 5, 2012. Secondary trading started after December 25.

The People's IPO programme will allow Kazakh citizens to become co-owners of the largest national companies and the period covers 2012-2015.
