Turkey's tourism revenues increased by 22.8 percent reaching $8.6 billion in the second quarter of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012, the Turkish Statistics Institute's report said today.
According to the report, around 84.6 percent of income was received from foreign tourists.
The number of tourists during the period increased by 12.8 percent to 10.5 million people.
Turkey's tourism expenditures increased by 0.02 percent, reaching $ 1.2 billion in Turkey during this period.
Turkey's total revenues from tourism amounted to $ 17.2 billion in January-June 2013.
