A delegation from Kazakhstan's National Management Holding, Baiterek paid a working visit to Germany on Dec.1-4. The visit was dedicated to a study of the country's experience in the development of innovative technology, a message from Baiterek Holding published on Dec.4 said.
During the visit there were a number of meetings with representatives of government agencies and business and scientific circles dealing with the promotion of innovative technology, the message said.
The Baiterek Holding delegation headed by the managing director and board member held negotiations with the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany, Eastern Committee of German Industry, Federal Association for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Germany, public-private entrepreneurship JSC, innovation and technology centre 'Innovative Niedersachsen GmbH' in Lower Saxony, the Centre for Technology Transfer at the University of Hannover Unitransfer and a venture investment company High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), based in Bonn.
During the meetings prospects of creating a joint Kazakh-German centre of technological cooperation were discussed. The Kazakh side expressed its readiness to organise the work of such a centre next year.
In addition, during the meeting there was an opportunity to discuss the creation a venture fund jointly with High-Tech Gründerfonds, as well as the issue of investing in the New Technologies Fund being created by Baiterek Holding in Kazakhstan, the message said.
