Iran exports over $14 billion worth gas condensate, petrochemicals from PSEEZ

Iran exported over $14.35 billion worth of gas condensate and petrochemicals from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) in the previous fiscal year, which ended on March 20.

Some 8.85 million tons of gas condensates worth over $7.09 billion were exported from PSEEZ in the mentioned period, Khodadad Rahimi, the managing director of PSEEZ said on April 8.

Rahimi added that the mentioned figures show six percent and 18 percent increase in terms of weight and value, respectively.

"Some 8.278 million tons of goods worth $7.266 billion were also exported from PSEEZ in the previous year," he explained.

He put the petrochemical exports of the zone at 17.128 million tons worth $14.357 billion, which is 2 and 4 per cent more than previous year in terms of weight and value, respectively.

"Some 235,774 tons of goods worth $2.28 billion were imported to PSEEZ in the previous year," he said.

"Iran exported over $544 million during the last month of the past fiscal year that ended on March 20," Rahimi said on April 7.

"Some 859,248 tons of gas condensates were exported from South Pars gas field to 15 countries, he explained, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported.

Rahimi went on to say that gas condensate export accounts for 59 percent of PSEEZ's total non-oil exports.

The following countries are among Iran's condensate customers: Afghanistan, Belgium, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Romania, Spain, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam, according to PSEEZ managing director.

"Some 14,104 tons of goods worth over $267 million were imported to PSEEZ in the mentioned month.

The figure shows a 77 percent rise in terms of value compared to the same month previous year.

Iran exported about 897,000 tons of condensate during the last month of previous Iranian fiscal year, according to Customs Administration's report.

Managing director of Iranian Oil Terminals Company, Seyed Pirouz Mousavi, said that by acquiring a single buoy mooring (SBM) and metering Systems, Phase 12 of South Pars gas field is ready to export gas condensates, IRNA reported on April 7.

He went on to note based on the agreements of the phase 12's gas condensates will be exported from Tombak region, located 65 kilometers east of Assaluyeh port.

According to Custom Administration report, Iran exported about 897,000 tons of condensate during the last month of previous Iranian fiscal year.
