Kazakhstan will simplify the procedures for doing business as part of fighting the shadow economy and corruption, Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov said at a joint session of the parliament's chambers on June 20.

Kazakh prime minister underscored that the country will put forward several initiatives in autumn in an attempt to change the situation.

He went on to add that the taxation in the agriculture for example, is so complicated that it is easier for a small entrepreneur to work in the underground economy.

"We propose to simplify this procedure in order to reduce this burden. The more transparent the procedures are, the easier it will be to work. I believe that this will require some drastic measures," Massimov said.
