Azerbaijan and Germany are preparing a document in the transport sphere, a source in the Azerbaijani government told Trend.
The draft memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the transport sphere has been submitted to Azerbaijan by Germany, the source said.
The document is currently under consideration.
By the end of this year, it is planned to organize a business forum in Germany on transit, transport and logistics opportunities of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan is Germany’s most important economic and trade partner in South Caucasus. According to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany, Azerbaijan’s share in Germany’s trade turnover with the South Caucasus countries was about 70 percent in the first half of 2017.
