Kazakhstan allocates funds for development of livestock production

The livestock industry is being actively developed by the government of Kazakhstan.

As for October 1, the level of livestock production has shown significant growth compared to the same period of the previous year, Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan said in a message.

In particular, the number of horses has increased by 7.7 percent, which amounts to (2,445.300 heads), as did the number of cattle (by 4 percent, to 7,104.400 heads), camels - by 7.8 percent (195.300 heads) and sheep - 0.7 percent (18,300.000 heads).

Production of meat in dressed weight amounted to 688.300 tons, which is 5.7 percent more compared to the same period of 2016.

The Kazakh government has allocated 58 billion tenge for the livestock industry's development in 2017, according to the Ministry.

Currently, the country works on the development of agribusiness. The production of livestock products is also expected to increase by 21 percent, within a year.
