Turkey will make additional investments in the tourism sector of the country’s districts, a source in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey told Trend Nov. 6.
Turkey has great tourist potential and plans to enter the top 3 most visited countries within the next ten years, according to the source.
“Until 2023, it is planned to increase the number of tourists annually visiting Turkey to 50 million people,” the source noted.
At present, the tourism sector of Turkey is growing 3.1 percent annually, according to the source.
The source also noted that events will be held in a number of countries in order to expand the tourism market of Turkey.
“In China, about 50 events aimed at demonstrating the potential of the Turkish tourism market will be held in 2018,” the source said.
