Azerbaijani Central Bank’s int’l reserves up

Liabilities of banks and non-bank credit organizations to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) decreased by 2.8 percent during this year and amounted to 7.04 billion manats as of October 1, 2017, CBA said in its report for January-September 2017.

Compared to August 2017, the volume of liabilities has increased by 0.4 percent.

Liabilities of commercial banks to the CBA totaled 7.24 billion manats in September 2016 and 7.01 billion manats in August 2017.

The volume of CBA’s foreign liabilities remained unchanged in January-September 2017 and amounted to 2.4 million manats.

CBA’s official international reserves increased by 25.2 percent – from $4.13 billion to $5.17 billion during the year.

Net liabilities of the Central Bank to the government decreased by 4.4 times in January-September 2017 as compared to the same period of 2016 and totaled 1.64 billion manats. As of September 2016, the volume of liabilities was 7.14 billion manats.
