US dollar exchange rate varies at Uzbekistan Republican Currency Exchange

The official exchange rate of the US dollar increased by 0.53 percent at the auction of the Uzbekistan Republican Currency Exchange in December 2017, which is 0.22 percent more than the official exchange rate of the US dollar set by the Central Bank by the time of the auction, the Uzbekistan Republican Currency Exchange told Trend.

In total, the US dollar-Uzbek soums rate at the Uzbekistan Republican Currency Exchange’s auction has increased by 1.06 percent in October-December 2017. At the same time, the official exchange rate of the US dollar, set by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, increased by 0.74 percent.

The Uzbekistan Republican Currency Exchange was established in May 1992.

The shareholders of the Uzbekistan Republican Currency Exchange are the Central Bank (50.13 percent of the authorized capital), the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan and Uzpromstroybank (11.13 percent), Agrobank and Ipak Yuli Bank (8.9 percent), Orient Finance Bank (5.76 percent), the People's Bank of Uzbekistan (4.05 percent). The net profit of the Uzbekistan Republican Currency Exchange increased by 1.9 times in January-September 2017 and amounted to 21.42 billion soums.
