Kazakhstan is expected to open its first crypto-exchange in 2018.
The Association of Digital Technologies and Cryptography DIGITAL NETWORK will participate in the opening of the first Kazakh crypto-currency bourse and the first legal crypto-exchanger in 2018, Kazakh media outlets reported citing the association's president, Olzhas Murtazin.
Murtazin said the association intends to cooperate with Kazakhstan’s small and large businesses for implementation of blockchain technology, as well as with the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs for education programs in the sphere of the crypto-industry.
"We also plan to hold a meeting with the Chairman of the National Bank Daniyar Akishev on the crypto-exchange and crypto-exchanger issues. In this regard, we have developed an action plan," Murtazin said.
He also intends to discuss the taxation of the crypto-industry with the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov and further meet with the Chairman of the Atameken Chamber of Commerce Timur Kulibayev.
