Uzbekistan Airways Technics company will carry out maintenance and repair of an Afghan aircraft.
Appropriate agreements were signed during the negotiations of the Uzbek officials with the Minister of Transport of Afghanistan Mohammad Hamid Tahmasi in the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Uzbek media outlets reported.
Uzbek side will also assist in the training of highly qualified aviation specialists for Afghanistan.
Uzbekistan Airways Technics is a subsidiary of the Uzbek national carrier Uzbekistan Airways, operating in the market of aircraft repair and maintenance for more than 90 years. Over this time, the airline has overhauled over 80,000 planes.
Presently, the enterprise has the necessary technical base and qualified personnel for rendering all types of maintenance and repair of aircraft of domestic and foreign air carriers.
Among the main potential customers of the Uzbek enterprise are the airlines of Afghanistan, China, Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and other CIS countries.
