Through the internet banking service, entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan can now carry out currency exchange operations around-the-clock. This business opportunity has been provided by the largest commercial bank in the country, PASHA Bank.

All PASHA Bank customers will be able to use the new service, director of the bank’s treasury department, Jeyhun Hajiyev said in an interview with Trend.

“Imagine a situation where, for some reason, a client did not manage to complete the transaction and purchase a certain amount in foreign currency for his business needs before the end of the business day. In this case, the client will have to wait for the next day, but it is possible that the new exchange rate will be less profitable for his business, or not profitable at all. Therefore, the main advantage offered by PASHA Bank through this service to its customers is the possibility of not being tied to the trading day and to carry out currency exchange operations at any time convenient for the customer in accordance with the exchange rate established for the operation day," Hajiyev said.

He noted that it is very convenient to convert currencies as part of the internet banking service: customers will only have to go to the appropriate section on the bank’s website, enter their login and password. In the corresponding section, they can make a choice regarding the accounts from and to which the money will be transferred, the amount and currency into which the funds will be converted.

"As for the exchange rate, it will depend on supply and demand in the market. In this case, an additional fee for this service will not be charged," Hajiyev noted.
