The plant for production of chipboard has been commissioned in the Oguzkhan district of Mary region of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan said in a statement.
The enterprise belongs to the local "Agayana" company. The ligneous agricultural waste - cotton stalks and hulls, which remain after harvesting raw cotton – are used as raw material.
The design capacity of the enterprise is 20,000 cubic meters of chipboard per year, the message says.
The range of products includes chipboard for construction work, as well as laminated chipboard of different colors, used for the manufacture of furniture.
The "Agayana" company intends to increase the range of products, to launch their export.
