Iran exports 160,000 tons of goods via Mehran customs to Iraq

In the current Iranian year (started March 21), so far, Iran has exported 160,000 tons of goods compatible with accepted Iranian standards through the country's Mehran customs to Iraq, head of Mehran's Standard Office Ismail Mahdavipour said, Trend reports via Iranian media.

He noted that the goods are thoroughly checked by the Standard Office before being exported.

Main export products were building materials, he said.

During the reported period, 554 tests were done on the exports goods in the labs of the Standard Office, Mahdavipour said, adding that most of the tests were done on lime and sodium carbonate exports.

Last Iranian year, 282,000 tons of goods compatible with Iranian standards were exported to Iraq.

Mehran is located 100 kilometers south-west of Ilam city, which is the capital of Ilam province.
