13M euros invested in industrial parks of Iran's Khuzestan province

Since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), so far, 13.5 million euros have been invested in the industrial parks of Iran's Khuzestan province, which is located in the country's south, Executive Director of Khuzestan branch of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Akhlag Mammadian said, Trend reports via IRNA.

He noted that during the reported period, the volume of domestic investments in Khuzestan's industrial parks reached 7.01 trillion rials (roughly $167 million). However, in the same period of the previous Iranian year, the amount of domestic investments was 1.89 trillion rials (roughly $45 million), he added.

During the reported period, 76 hectares of Khuzestan's industrial parks were allocated to investors, he noted.

The executive director also noted that 2,429 people were employed in the industrial parks, during the reported period.

He further added that SMEs should be provided with relevant help in order to strengthen the production sector of Khuzestan.

Presently, there are 71 vindustrial parks in Iran's Khuzestan and they provide 48,000 people with jobs.
