Project aimed at developing entrepreneurship, self-employment extended in Azerbaijan(Exclusive)

The social project called “Don’t seek job, create your own business”, which is carried out with the joint participation of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of Azerbaijan (ASK) and the Education Ministry has been extended for another three years, acting Secretary General of the ASK Kristina Mammadova told Trend Feb. 7.

She said that the project is aimed at developing entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, as well as the formation of competent entrepreneurial way of thinking among the younger generation.

“This is a social project as part of which employers meet with university students, so that young people have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the rules of doing business,” she noted. “We plan to continue this project in the Azerbaijani districts as well so that a greater number of students - future entrepreneurs use this opportunity. Meetings where successful business stories are shown to young people are very important.”

She noted that the project aims to help develop entrepreneurship in Ganja-Gazakh, Guba-Khachmaz, Shaki-Zagatala and Kura-Araz (Aran) economic zones and generally improve the business environment in these regions.
