Undisclosed amount of foreign currency and gold coins were located in Iran's Parsabad County of Ardabil Province in north-west Iran, said Colonel Hossein Bahmani, chief of police in Parsabad County, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
According to Bahmani, the police led an investigation, based on information on illegal buying and selling of gold coins and foreign currency.
Bahmani added that 100 units of gold coins, 210,000 US dollars, 50,7 million Iraqi dinars and 1,760 Azerbaijani manats were found in the apartment of the detainee.
The Parsabad County of Iran’s Ardabil Province is located on the border with Azerbaijan.
