Small, medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan’s Kyzylorda region increase

The number of small and medium-sized businesses operating in Kazakhstan’s Kyzylorda region increased by 13 percent in 2018, Trend reports via the press service of the region’s administration.

The region holds a leading position in the country by the growth rate of this indicator.

It should be noted that 2018-2020 were declared the Three Years of Mass Entrepreneurship Support in the region. In this regard, last year more than 32 billion tenge was attracted from various sources as part of the developed comprehensive roadmap for mass entrepreneurship development.

Thus, more than 1,000 unemployed and self-employed received microloans totaling 4.3 billion tenge, over 1,000 microbusiness projects were implemented, which created more than 1,500 permanent jobs.

This year, the region has developed a similar roadmap, within which 34 billion tenge will be allocated for business development.

It should be noted that last year the Kyzylorda region was recognized as the best region of Kazakhstan in terms of ease of doing business.
