Iran’s northeastern Razavi Khorasan Province produces 350 tons of chicken eggs daily, Saadat Alinea, deputy director of the Razavi Khorasan Agriculture Jihad Ministry, told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Alinea, 200 of the 350 tons of eggs are sold within the province, while 150 tons are exported to other provinces. Overall, the province produces more than 120,000 tons of chicken eggs a year, with an additional 50,000 tons.
Noting that egg exports were suspended from the beginning of the current Iranian year (starting March 21, 2018), Alinea said that exports will be resumed once optimal conditions will be in place.
About 270 poultry farms involved in egg production operate in Razavi Khorasan Province of Iran.
