There will be 10 agroparks and agricultural farms with the total worth of 270 million manats and an area of 31,000 hectares built in Azerbaijan in 2019, a government source told Trend.
According to the source, 51 agroparks and large agricultural farms with a total area of 257,000 hectares and worth 2.2 billion manats are being currently built in 33 districts of the country by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev.
In this regard, 383 million manats have been allocated as part of state support measures, including 221 million manats of necessary infrastructure costs, and concessional loans in the amount of 162 million manats have been allocated for the construction of 24 agroparks and agricultural farms worth 567 million manats.
In addition, 32 projects have been created for the construction of 19 agroparks and agricultural farms worth a total of 630 million manats. 17 agroparks and agricultural farms with an area of 96,000 hectares and a total cost of 604 million manats have been commissioned.
Design and construction works are being carried out in 24 agroparks and agricultural farms with an area of 130,000 hectares and worth 1.3 billion manats.
