In January-March 2019, the value of industrial production in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 246.5 million manats, which is 1.2 percent more than in the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee.
Creation of new industrial facilities and manufacture of new types of products ensure the dynamic growth of industrial production in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, according to the report.
The production of goods accounted for 96.3 percent of the output, while the provision of services accounted for 3.7 percent.
During the reporting period, as a result of the implementation of three projects, production facilities and centers for the provision of services were established. The implementation of the remaining 35 projects is under development.
For the purpose of industrial development among agricultural entities, banks and non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs) issued loans totaling 4.23 million manats.
As a result of the increase in production in the autonomous republic, for the first quarter of 2019, the total value of exports of industrial products amounted to $41.3 million.
