Malaysian company may import fruits, vegetables from Uzbekistan

The Malaysian company MMK Spices is interested in importing dried fruit and vegetables as well as legumes from Uzbekistan for further packaging and distribution in the Malaysian market, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov held talks with the director of MMK Spices Sdn. Bhd. Mohamed Shakir to discuss the prospects for export cooperation in the Malaysian state of Penang.

MMK Spices is one of the largest producers of spice, dried fruits, nuts and medicines extracted from special herbs sold under brands such as Spice King, Peladang and RED Horse Toordhall.

Products manufactured by the company are exported to the countries of Southeast Asia including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and to the markets of the African continent.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of company representatives to Uzbekistan in order to familiarize with enterprises for the production of dried fruits and vegetables and to establish partnerships with potential Uzbek exporters.
