In 1Q2019, the total value of construction materials manufactured in Kazakhstan, amounted to 102.2 billion tenge, whereas the actual volume index has increased by 10.8 percent, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan Industry Development Institute.
“The decrease in production in 1Q2019 is observed in manufacture of heat-resistant wares (-43.1 percent compared to 1Q2018) and lime (-31.6 percent),” the report said.
“In contrast, increased has been observed in manufacture of ceramic bricks (+21.6 percent), concrete building structures (+20.4 percent), plasterboard (+36.4 percent), tile and similar articles from concrete and cement (+30.7 percent),” reads the message.
”The trend of growth is also observed in segments such as the manufacture of mineral thermal insulation materials (+20.1 percent), treated stone for tombstones, finishing and construction (+67.3 percent) and some others. The volume of manufacture of Portland cement has increased by 4.4 percent,” the report says.
According to the data, the export of construction industry products amounts to $21.6 million and has decreased by 16 percent after two months of 2019 compared to 2018. The volume in kind amounts to 201,000 tons.
The import of construction supplies amounts to $122 million and has decreased by 31 percent in first two months of 2019 compared to 2018. The volume of import in kind amounts to 237,000 tons.
